Spa Therapies for therapists and skincare specialists

As European spa treatments infiltrated their way to American resorts therapists can enhance their income and health of their clients with Spa Therapy. Our instruction is current and up to date with spa treatment applications in either a dry or wet room setting. The information given will cover hydrotherapy practice, aromatherapy, cavitation, endermatherapy, use of thalassotherapy and balneotherapy, body wraps and scrubs, para fango and cellulite treatments….indications and contraindications of treatments. A well rounded overview of products, ingredients and their application and benefits will be areas of focus. This is an advanced training in application of spa and body treatments beyond the required instruction for massage therapy or skin care specialist. The spa program is an adjunct study to other licensures it does not provide a specialty state license. This area of study is a must if the student or graduate desires to work in a day spa or destination spa.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is the use of water for health purposes. Generally, this treatment can range from saunas, steam therapy, foot baths, and more. Specifically, this course will have a focus on using the Sabai Ball Technique, mixing both herbs and water to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin.

Parafango

Parafango is a spa service that moisturizes, purifies and beautifies skin from top to bottom, utilizing paraffin and mud solutions to rejuvenate the skin and leave you feeling clean and refreshed.

Cavitation Machine

Learn to use ultrasonic waves to blast fat off the body and leave your clients feeling thinner than ever. This safe and effective method makes use of a Cavitation Machine to help your clients lose weight fast!

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being. Using aromatic essential oils, this technique helps medicinally to improve the health of the body, mind, and spirit.

Management for Establishments, salons, and spas

The objective of this program is to enhance the abilities of professionals in massage therapy, skin care, fitness training and spas to manage and staff a new or purchased business and to give them the skill needed for management to be and stay successful in today‘s market. Management and marketing skills are essential for successful business operation by those who are entrepreneurs, managers or self-employed.. All the essentials of basic business are included with special emphasis on the relationships between management and the health care professionals. Resort Hotels, Cosmetology/Skin Care Salons, Spas and Massage Establishments all need human relations managers to direct a well-run, full- service operation. Individuals may desire to attend the program to learn fundamentals of small business management or for their own self-employment.
